March 13, 2012 Campus Fashion, Featured, Style The 2012 THREADS Fashion Show CMU design students will be sending their looks down the runway April 14, 2012 in McGuirk Arena. Mount Pleasant, Mich. February 9, 2012 — The Fashion Association of Merchandising and Design is proud to present the fourteenth annual THREADS fashion show on April 14, 2012 at 7:30PM in the McGuirk Arena at Central Michigan University’s event center. The show has become the second largest event on campus and is a completely student run show. This year thirty-nine designers will showcase their hard work and creativity. An exhibition showcasing student garments and art will be held at the events center prior to the show at 6PM. Designs by former student Kaitlyn Munro for THREADS 2011 (Brooke Whitten- Photo Editor) THREADS 2012 producers Laura Czupinski and Jason Gagnon have chosen “Time” as the theme for this year’s show. The designers will be modernizing certain time periods beginning with early Egypt to Futuristic. “It has been an exciting process seeing the designers use such creativity. When creating the theme, we wanted to make sure it would not limit the designers’ personal style. This year we have made several changes to the production in order to continue to improve upon the show and to offer more opportunities to our peers. We are excited to see the final outcome and are confident that it will provide a wonderful night out for guests.” Czupinski said. Tickets for the show will be available Monday, March 19 and are $20 for VIP and $12 for general seating. They will be available for purchase at the Event Center box office or online at the Central Michigan box office.
