Local Event: Midnight Pancakes tonight at community church

For many students, final’s week can mean two things: an abnormal sleep schedule, and an empty stomach. This problem has been addressed by the Mount Pleasant Community Church – by way of towering stacks of late-night flapjacks.

Tonight, the Mount Pleasant Community Church will be hosting a midnight pancake-eating marathon. Prizes and giveaways will be up for grabs, as well as enough pancakes to feed a congregation.

The event officially begins at midnight, and will be serving students until 1 a.m. The church recommends that students arrive before midnight in order to get a seat. The volunteers have formally issued a challenge to CMU students – try to eat everything.

Students finding themselves craving a syrupy meal to keep up moral; take advantage of this opportunity. You’re already up cramming – you might as well cram some hot cakes.
