Threads Fashion Show Rehearsal 2025

With just one day to spare, students, faculty, and volunteers prepare for The Threads Fashion Show which will take place on Saturday, April 12 in the Plachta Auditorium in Warriner Hall at 6 p.m. with the theme “A Night in the Spotlight.”

On Friday, April 11, everyone gathered together between Finch Fieldhouse, and Plachta Auditorium for a 30-minute one-on-one rehearsal time with their fashion group. Once that was over, models had a shoe rehearsal, ending with a dress rehearsal, to make sure everything ran smoothly.

The audience will have a wide variety of bold, unique, and innovative fashion looks to choose from at the show, for one of the awards called “Viewer Choice Award.”

Fashion design majors worked tirelessly all year to bring their designs to life, with anywhere between two and ten different looks for the show.

Designer Brady Pitcher, wanted to draw inspiration from fashion of previous times, incorporating accessories such as bonnets and overcoats. Pitcher said he truly wanted to push himself more for this show.

Student show host, Devin Newson has hosted other events such as concerts and theatre shows. Newson said this will be his first time in the “big leagues.”

While Newson is nervous for the upcoming show, he said he plans to, “use the nerves to power enthusiasm and the crowd.”

The show consists of students at CMU and volunteers with little, to no modeling experience at all. Threads have a wide variety of different body types making fashion inclusive for all.

Junior, Morgan Willis, will be modeling for threads for her first time. She said she decided to model for the show when her roommate who is a fashion design major convinced her.

Sophomore, Charlize Brochu, will be modeling for Threads for the second time.

“I’m not nervous right now but on show day I for sure will be,” Brochu said.

Seniors Kristine Pitschel, Piper Davis, and Emily Stabile are the producers for the 2025 show. When asked about how they feel about the show being tomorrow there was a feeling of excitement and anticipation in the air.

“It flew by and went so fast,” Pitschel said.

Newson said this will be the “most extravagant fashion you have ever seen.” For more information on the show, click here.
