(Tanya Moutzalias | photo editor gcmag.org) Laughter and chatter from the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta filled Headliners Salon during a sisterhood event in downtown Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, Sept. 22. Headliners Salon hosted a sisterhood event for the chapter, inviting them to come in and sample their many services. The sisters each got to pick one service from eyebrow waxing, nail polish color change, a make-up application, or a quick hairstyle. “We have a diverse group of girls and it’s hard to find time to see everyone,” said Katrina Ritchey, CMU Senior and Alpha Gamma Delta president said, “It’s fun to be able to catch up and bond with our sisters we don’t always get to see.” Not only did everyone get a free service sample, but the salon also gave out prize giveaways. The prizes included two feather extensions valued at $35, a gift basket, and everyone was entered into a drawing to win a free Kindle. Headliners Salon is located at 214 East Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant and offers hair, nail and skin services. Owner Joe Fiolek and his staff have a long-term relationship with many sororities on campus. The salon often invites sororities to come in for service sampling in hopes to bring in more clients. “It’s hard for students to leave their stylists from back home and we want to help them find a stylist for their home away from home.” said Fiolek
