Mt. Pleasant’s Christmas Celebration

With the holiday season in full swing downtown Mt. Pleasant will be full of holiday events and activities Dec. 6-7.  

To kick off the Christmas festivities from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 there will be a music and dance spectacular, winter market and candy cane lane, laser light show, winter-themed family photos, Polar Express model train and playscape, and a children’s book sale.  

The following day is full of activities including a 5K in the morning and pancakes with Santa following that. Christmas themed make and take projects are available from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. at Art Reach. After that head over the Max & Emily’s from 1-3 p.m. for cookie decorating. To end the night at 6 p.m. the streets of downtown will be lit up during the lighted Christmas parade happening on Main and Broadway St.

Businesses will be available during these hours to be used as warming stations including Art Reach, Isabella Bank, Max & Emily’s, Sleepy Dog Books, and more.  

Santa will be meeting in the town center on Dec. 6 from 5-8 p.m., at Coldwell Banker on Broadway St. on Dec. 7 from 3-6 p.m., and on Dec. 14 and 21 from 1-4 p.m.
