Speakers included CMU President Bob Davies, CMU Director of Native American Progaming Collen Green, and Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribe Chief Theresa Jackson. They recognized the individuals and committees responsible for making the mural come to life. Anishinaabe artist Alan Compo designed the artwork. The mural was created to recognize Indigenous people’s culture and history.
