September 26, 2011 Arts & Entertainment, Events, Featured, Music Midwest Fest in Mount Pleasant, 9/27 – 10/1 Mount Pleasant's own Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers. (photo courtesy of Absolute Michigan) The fourth annual Midwest Fest begins tomorrow – with a kick-off party at the Mount Pleasant Brewing Company beginning at 8:00 p.m. This five-night event boats over 20 bands (folk, indie, rock, pop, electronic, experimental…etc.) from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The performances will feature Mount Pleasant artists such as Jetpack On!, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, Newday Dreamers, Wavvy Hands and Bloomill. Among many other Michigan artists participating is the critically acclaimed electro/pop quartet – Stepdad. This week will give music-lovers of Mount Pleasant a chance to hear great music from the Midwest area. These shows are cheap, and will give local establishments a taste of the Midwest region’s most talented acts. Don’t miss this awesome week of music! * Reminder * – Rubble’s only allows a certain number of minors to enter their shows (12). Attendees can buy tickets at the door or in advance.
