From denim to platform shoes to scrunchies and more, these trends are a source of nostalgia for many of us. The obsession with the ’90s style is back and better than ever. Scrunchies– This iconic hair trend is a stylish version of a simple hair tie. Pair it with any outfit to use for pulling hair back , or even as an accessory to complete your look. Senior Meredith Paloucek pairs a half updo hairstyle with a scrunchie on her wrist to bring her ’90s look together. Denim on Denim – This ’90s look brings the highest level of ’90s nostalgia. Pair a simple pair of jeans with a jean jacket, or even rock a denim skirt and jacket together. Paloucek pairs a simple pair of high-waisted mom jeans with a light denim jacket. Converse– From a simple white pair to a bold colored pair of converse, it’s unlikely this everyday tennis shoe will ever go out of style. Vans– These shoes give major ’90s vibes. Pair with a casual denim look or even dress them up with a skirt. Senior Meredith Paloucek wears a checkered pair of pink and white vans. Cat Eye Sunglasses– Switch out your normal everyday pair of sunglasses for this popular cat eye shape for a killer ’90s look. Senior Lorielle Walker pairs cat-eye sunglasses with a bold red lip. Mom Jeans– They just might be the most ’90s pair of jeans ever. Rock a pair from your local thrift store for the perfect fit. Walker wears high-waisted mom jeans. Tube Top– Who said a basic tank top had to be boring? This ’90s trend has become a staple for any girl’s closet. Paloucek wears a basic green tube top with a light denim jacket. Sports jackets/ Windbreakers (Adidas/Nike)– Sports jackets can be seen everywhere. This ’90s trend can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood. Walker pairs a white tee with a Nike jacket for a simple 90s look. Hoop Earrings– A cute accessory that can turn a simple outfit into a fashion forward look. Walker completes her look with hoop earrings. Fanny Packs– The fanny pack will forever be one of the most iconic accessories of the ’90s, and today’s most convenient version of a hands-free purse. Pair with any outfit or channel your inner ’90s and go for the denim on denim look. Paloucek pairs a black fanny pack with mom jeans and a green tube top.
