September 20, 2013 Campus Fashion, Student Styles, Style, Trend and Beauty Three ways to wear a leather jacket With fall officially claiming it’s season on Sunday, it’s time to start adding layers to warm-weather pieces. Being college students on a budget, the versatility of clothing is important, especially when it comes to keeping up with current trends. Buying a piece that can only be worn one way is just not the way to go. A leather jacket is perfect for fall; it’s enough to keep you warm but easy to layer over something lighter unless it heats up during the day. A leather jacket is definitely a piece that can be worn many different ways. Whether to class, for a night out, or even in a professional setting a leather jacket can be your go-to piece. For a cute, yet simple going-to-class look, try pairing your leather jacket with another fall staple piece, the denim shirt. Add a pair of jeans and combat boots or riding boots and you have an outfit that is chic yet comfy enough for a long day of classes. Headed out for the night? A leather jacket works for that, too! It tends to get a little bit chilly at night so a leather jacket is a perfect pair for your favorite dress. Keep the outfit and accessories simple with a pop of color or a little sparkle. You will look cute, but still have a jacket to keep your warm, wherever your night may take you! Believe it or not, a leather jacket can also be worn in a more professional setting. Layered over a classic blouse and paired with a simple dress pant, this look is perfect for many internships. Keep your accessories simple and stick with a classic black or nude heel or flat.
