October 1, 2015 Student Styles, Style, Style From Day to Night: A Complete Transformation With due dates, errands, meetings and weekend plans filling the pages of your planner, there is no doubt you are one busy college girl. And as the pages continue to fill, little time is left to plan multiple outfits for class, let alone a night out with the girls in downtown Mount Pleasant. That’s why utilizing the staple pieces in your wardrobe and making simple changes to transition your look from day to night is a must. A quick swap of accessories and a hint of makeup takes you from the classroom to a night out – no stylist necessary. Button Down Shirt Day: Keep it casual for class by pairing a button down with some dark washed skinny jeans. Pair a neutral eye with a tinted lip balm for a fresh and natural looking face. Throw on your favorite pair of canvas sneakers and head out the door. Girl’s night out: Swap those pants for an a-lined skirt and tuck in the button down for a put together look. Replace your sneakers with a pair of ankle booties, and layer necklaces for some added bling. Add a hint of shimmer to your neural eye and freshen up your pout with a matte, pink lip. Little Black (Sweater) Dress Day: Dress up your weekday wear with a fitted sweater dress and layer with an oversized cardigan. Complete this look with tights and boots, perfect for those chilly fall days. Date Night: When it comes time for a night out with your significant other, ditch the cardigan and spice up the look with some knee-high socks and a statement necklace. Warm up your look with a medium brown eye shadow in the crease and smudge it under the lash line. Keep your lips flirty, yet kissable with a mauve lipstick. Distressed Denim Day: For lectures and the library, style these jeans with an oversized sweater and a chunky infinity scarf. Any pair of flats will make this edgy denim look polished. Girl at the Rock Show: A muscle tee teamed with a cute bralette gives edge to any concert lover. Although it may be warm inside the venue, tie a denim shirt around your waist for the wait in line. Trade your flats for combats, add a red lip and a smoky eye and your cute to cutting-edge transformation is complete.
