October 19, 2020 Student Styles, Style, Style & Beauty, Trend and Beauty Halloween Costumes: Pet Edition Story by Kaylee Winter Seeing pets dressed up in costumes is one of the best parts of Halloween. Whether your pets costume is cute, silly or scary, everyone can agree that seeing pets in costumes will put a smile on anyone’s face. Central Michigan University students are dressing their own pets up in costumes to celebrate the Halloween season. CMU senior, Alex Heinemann is dressing her dog, Kona Blu, in two costumes this year. Kona’s main costume is a prisoner costume that has a jumpsuit and hat. Heinemann is also dressing Kona up as a member of the Peanuts crew from Charlie Brown. “She is my first pet and I wasn’t a huge fan of dressing animals up, however, I found the prisoner costume for $2 at goodwill and thought I should see if she likes clothes,” Heinemann said. “Turns out she loves it just as much as I do.” Photo courtesy of Alex Heinemann. CMU junior, Paige Zundel, is dressing her dog, Daisy Dukes, up as baby Yoda. Zundel thought Daisy looked too cute in the costume to not get this costume. “Plus, Star Wars is awesome,” Zundel said. Plus, anything to put a smile on someone else’s face is always a bonus too.
