March 21, 2016 Drinks, Drinks, Recipes The Monday Mix: Traditional Mojito Monday has rolled around and if you still find yourself sporting the color green, we have a drink that keeps the March festivities rolling. Forget the beer – move on to a whole new green drink with a mojito. Not only does it contain the springtime hue with its hints of lime and mint, but it’s packed with refreshing taste. Spring break will finally be “out of sight, out of mind,” and with a mojito in hand, all you’ll be thinking about is sweet, sweet summertime. Ingredients: 2-ounces of white rum ½-ounce of lime juice 1-ounce of Simple Syrup 3 mint leaves 2-ounces of club soda Fresh lime wedge and mint sprig for garnish Ice Recipe: Begin by muddling the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Add in the ice, rum, lime juice and Simple Syrup. Then, shake it up. Pour the mixed drink into an ice-filled glass and top off with club soda. Garnish the drink with a slice of lime and sprig of mint. Enjoy! Use more of the ingredients and make a whole pitcher – with this drink, these next six weeks will fly right on by.
