It’s Monday and the first day of classes for most students at Central Michigan University, and we all know syllabus week means ice breakers and no notes.

An easy week calls for an easy makeup routine, so we created a simple, fresh-faced makeup tutorial for you to follow.

1. Foundation
Apply luminous foundation or BB cream to the face with a damp beauty blender. We used Waterweight Foundation by MAC Cosmetics to achieve a natural finish.

2. Concealer
Next, apply a concealer 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone to the under eyes, nose and chin to highlight the face. Doing this will make your face appear brighter and more awake. We used Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer to highlight the face and cover dark circles.

3. Blush
Blush is a classic staple in your makeup routine to make the face appear more rosy and fresh. We used Bare Mineral’s powder blush to give some color to the face.

4. Eyeshadow
For eyeshadow, we used the Natural Eyes palette by Too Faced.

Use pink shadow with shimmer all over the lids to brighten up the eyes, and a deeper shade in the crease to make the eyes appear bigger.

5. Lipstick
Lastly, we topped the fresh-faced look off with MAC’s Crème Cup lipstick. This sheer pink hue will make the look more feminine and flirty, and is perfect for the daytime.
