November 16, 2015 Drinks, Drinks, Recipes The Monday Mix: Cinnamon & Cranberry Whiskey Sour A dash of cinnamon or a whole stick, either way, it’s spicing time. This household favorite isn’t limited to just pies and cookies. In fact, a touch of cinnamon can be perfect in a classic bar go-to drink, the whiskey sour. This drink can be enhanced by the pungent cinnamon flavor and cranberry juice fixings for a delicious cinnamon and cranberry whiskey sour. If you are looking for a festive Thanksgiving dinner drink, this easy mix might just be the holiday treat you’ve been looking for. Ingredients: (serves one 12-ounce glass) 3-ounces of cranberry juice 1 ½ ounces Cinnamon Whiskey (i.e. Fireball Whisky) ½ ounce lemon juice A dash of cinnamon (for garnish: a stick of cinnamon and whole fresh cranberries) Recipe: Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice. Pour in the cranberry juice, whiskey and lemon juice. Stir all the ingredients together. Pinch a dash of cinnamon into the drink. Then, add the garnish and enjoy. If you want to make enough to share, then up the ingredients to your preferred serving size and combine the ingredients into a large pitcher. Mix and serve over ice.
