Pleasant This Fall Story by Brittany Andrade Photo courtesy of CMU University Theatre Fall semester sets itself up to be full of fun and interesting events that everyone can enjoy. Here are five events that you’ll want to mark your calendars for: The Pleasant Town Music & Arts Festival on Sept. 29 promises all different kinds of things to see, hear and taste. There will be a Silent Disco featuring up and coming DJs, as well as live touring acts and local bands performing. There will be craft vendors, live painters and food trucks that have all different kinds of new dishes to try. The festival is from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Centennial Hall in downtown Mount Pleasant, and tickets start at $30. For more information visit the Facebook event page here. CMU Legends of the Dark is a haunted campus tour hosted by Trout Hall and sponsored by the Residence Hall Assembly. The annual campus event leaves those who dare to go on the tour shook while checking out the haunted spots around campus. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. The event is from Oct. 24, 25 and 26; for more information you can visit the Legends of the Dark website here. This year’s CMU Fall Concert features Quinn XCII. The Detroit-native uses a mix of pop, electronic and hip-hop infused with soul to entertain millions with his debut album “The Story of Us.” He and special guest Ayokay will be in McGuirk Arena on Oct. 26. Tickets drop here on Sept. 5 at 10 a.m., starting at $10 for students and $15 for the general public. Chief Keef is coming to Wayside Central. The hip-hop artist is famous for singles like “Love Sosa,” “I Don’t Like,” and is celebrating his most recent album “Mansion Musick.” The rapper will be at Wayside on Oct. 27 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are $30.38 and can be purchased here. “Shrek the Musical” is a Tony award-winning show based on the childhood classic movie “Shrek.” The story is being told through the CMU University Theatre . You can watch, laugh and listen to the musical from Nov. 7-11 at Bush Theater. Ticket and showtime information can be found here, and on the event Facebook page.
