October 31, 2014 Style, Style DIY: Halloween Couples Costumes Halloween is here, and that means everyone is thinking of what costume to wear to top years past. Costumes are even more fun when your significant other wants to dress up with you. Attending a Halloween party on Main Street is a must, but you don’t want to look so predictable. You want everyone to know how original you are and to easily understand your costume. Grand Central has put together Halloween costumes for those couples who want to stand out and make Friday the 31st a killer fun night. Elvis and Priscilla Presley The Rock ‘n’ Roll King and his bride are a couple who dominated Hollywood and the music industry. If you are a power couple, this Halloween idea is for you. Get Elvis’ look by growing your sideburns or draw them on, wear a colorful suit with sequins and a guitar would be a great prop. Priscilla rocks ’60s fashion with the big hair, a retro dress and heavy eyeliner. (Polyvore | Ina Shahinaj) Tooth fairy and Dentist Look sweet and adorable dressed up with your man in this costume. Ladies, wear a light colored dress to appear magical, pair it with some wings and a sparkly wand. For the dentist, all you need to wear is a pair of doctor scrubs and your big smile. POOF…. Don’t be surprised when your friends want to steal this costume for next year. (Polyvore | Ina Shahinaj) Yoko Ono and John Lennon This is a great costume for lovers out there. This peaceful couple will make you stand out in any crowd. Yoko has long dark hair parted in the middle and wears “hippy” looking clothing. John wears round glasses and has a long beard. Buy a poster and write “War is Over!” Carrying it would make your costume complete. The two creepy dolls, Chucky and Tiffany outfits will spook all your friends and you’ll easily have the best costumes. Chucky has red hair, scars on his face, and wears overalls. You don’t need much for his look. Tiffany wears a white dress, dark makeup, a choker necklace and a grungy leather jacket. Don’t forget to draw a heart with Chuckys name on it. Her tattoo is priceless. (Polyvore | Ina Shahinaj) Bonnie and Clyde If you and your man are a “ride or die” couple then this costume will be right up your alley. Bonnie and Clyde were runaways from the law and their crazy love for each other made history. Bonnie and Clyde had a classic look to them. Wear a beret hat and a silk scarf around your neck to look like more like Bonnie. A suit, tie and a fedora will do for Clyde. Fake, playful guns will make this costume come together more.
