REVIEW: Beauty products worth the splurge

Makeup has a decently long shelf life, so splurging on a few products may have a big payoff. A few tried and true products can change an everyday look for the best. If you’re looking for a new look, take some advice on what necessities to keep in your makeup bag at all times.

1) Benefit – They’re Real! Mascara $23

Love fake eyelashes, but hate the process of applying and removing them? This mascara takes out all the work and actually extends your eyelashes dramatically. Once you try this product, you’ll come back for more.

2) Urban Decay – Naked 2 Palette $50

The Naked 2 Palette has a huge array of neutrals, matte or shimmery, that are appropriate for day or night. Since they are good quality, wearable and last basically forever, they are definitely worth the splurge.

3) Urban Decay – Naked Skin Beauty Balm Spectrum SPF 20 $34

Foundation and Concealer scare a lot of people. Unless you apply it in the most amazing light, there’s always that concern of looking “cakey.” If you want a quick everyday fix, try this! This product will make your skin silky, matte and conceal redness or everyday imperfections.

4) Urban Decay- Eyeshadow Primer Potion $20

Imagine putting on eyeshadow while getting ready and it STILL being intact after a whole day of classes -that’s what happens when you use this product.

5) Tarte- Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess $29

Sparkles are the enemy; bronzer is a saving grace. For some unknown reason, this mildly sparkly bronzer is the best of both worlds. If you are fair, it is recommended to avoid this product. If you are naturally tan, you MUST buy!

6) Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics- Lip Tar in any color $18

With a huge variety of colors, everyone can find a favorite within this product line. Lip tar doesn’t feather, lasts for hours, and only requires a drop the size of a pin to cover your lips. Each lip color comes with a tiny brush to apply so you don’t need to worry about buying one before.
