April 4, 2016 Campus Fashion, Style Sleek, Sexy and Sophisticated: The Bodysuit Move over crop-top, there’s a new trend in town – bodysuits. You know, those leotards that everyone wore in gymnastics? Yeah, they’re coming back and are better than ever. These onesies simultaneously double as a shirt and outfit. Throw on a suit with lots of straps paired with a skirt for a date night look, or leave it on by the pool for a makeshift one piece or cover-up. Either way, the bodysuit makes for a sophisticated look. Classic A classic bodysuit is either long-sleeve or tank style. The cuts are high on the hips, and low around the bottom. Bodysuits normally run true to size, but a long torso will need a size up and vice versa. Pair this style with shorts or jeans for a kick-ass and casual outfit. Channel your inner 1970s flower child with some wedges on a sunny day. Sleek A sleek bodysuit will be very edgy and playful with drapes and cuts. Express has a wide range of looks in this style. This particular style can be worn a number of ways – with a flouncy skirt, dress pants or all by itself. (When worn with pants, be careful of see-through lines that may appear in the back). Strappy Whether it’s straps in the front or in the back, this bodysuit look is daring and stylish. Skinny jeans pair well with this look to keep the focus on the top. A bandeau or nude bra will be needed if the straps are low in the back. Keep the rest of the outfit simple with booties or pointed flats.
