First, a mixture of salty, savory and smoky flavors hit your taste buds, then there’s a smooth wash of sweet maple syrup. The nostalgic smells alone take you back to your kitchen table on Sunday morning, but, you’re not at home; you’re at Crème de la Crème cupcake shop in Mount Pleasant, and you’ve just experience your first Maple Bacon Cupcake. In the morning, ditch the granola bar and treat yourself to a decadent dessert. There is always a great selection of cupcakes to choose from, and you may find yourself drooling while staring into the glass display. Creme de la Creme offers a variety of cupcakes, all on display for customers to pick and choose. The Maple Bacon Cupcake is definitely a show stopper, thanks to the strip of real bacon garnish, but each creation is a work of art. However exotic you want to get with your cupcake is up to you. One thing is guaranteed, however; whether you try the classic Chocolate Chip or get adventurous and go for the Lemon Chai Poppy Seed, it’s going to be delicious. For fellow seekers of new exciting shops in the area, or anyone with a sweet tooth, Crème de la Crème Cupcakes is a must-see. From the cutesy décor to the adorable packaging, this shop fits right into the vibe of downtown. Crème de la Crème is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is located at 201 East Broadway St. Not only are these cupcakes delectable, but they are also affordable, ringing up at $1.15 for a mini size and $2.35 for a regular size. So what are you waiting for? Grab some friends, because it’s time for dessert!
