Drink of the Week Editor’s Choice

The GCM editorial staff brings you their favorite drinks.

With the year about to come to a close and several of our editors starting new adventures elsewhere, we’d like to give you a taste of our favorite drinks. It’s been an amazing year with a wonderful group of editors, writers, and readers.

Amanda Stidd (Food): While I’ll never turn down a shot of good tequila (with a salt and lime, please), my typical drink of choice tends to be a rum and coke. It’s cheap, it’s delicious, and it does the job. However, whenever I’m at the Woodbridge Pub, it’s a special Long Island Iced Tea.

Lindsay Lewis (Style): Double Bacardi Superior and Diet “[it] was zero calories, haha, that’s what got me started, now I’m just addicted.”

Jillian Pekel (Photo): The Bellringer from O’Kellys. (If you’re looking for a lot of booze in one cup, this is the drink for you.)

Mike Mulholland (Multimedia): Fighting Cock. (It’s real; it’s powerful)

Ryan Thomas (Arts and Entertainment): Vodka and water with a splash of lemonade.

Brittany Lasely (PR): Whiskey Sour

Alek Frost (Sports): Rum and Pepsi (not rum and coke!)

Brittni Hengesbach (Web Content): Sunshine in Malibu

Andrew Hoskins (Lifestyle): It’s the High Life.

Betsy Rau (Advisor): Arnold Palmer

Kristen Newhouse (Editor-in-Chief): Iced tea with hand squeezed orange juice.

Have a wonderful and safe summer!
