Halloween central: costume design contest

Central Michigan students sent their pictures to show off their best homemade costumes from this past Halloween weekend.

Why pay at least 40 dollars to look like everyone else at the weekends happening Halloween party? With a five day celebration, these Central Michigan University students got crafty and designed their own costumes. All student submissions were creative, unique and followed contest rules. The designs did not have to be fully constructed, just not store bought. Students designs were innovative using materials such as duct tape, feathers, jewels, balloons and various fabrics. Many costumes were sewn, while others were pieced together using elements from their closet or the local antique store. The winning submission was from senior Taylor McGinn pictured with friend, Tori McQuarter dressed as bubbles and a loofah.
