October 26, 2016 Style, Style & Beauty, Women's Style How to Rock Every Style of Jeans on Campus Story by Allison Lindsey Photo by Devon Rademacher Fall weather is officially here, which means it’s time to pull out our chilly weather-wear, a favorite among many since there are so many cozy and fashionable and autumnal options. Although sweatpants are incredibly comfy and leggings can be simple and sleek, there is one article of clothing that needs a little more love – jeans. Jeans are making a big comeback this year as the cold weather hits, and many different styles are making their way onto the shelves. As college students, we spend plenty of time contemplating the perfect matches to accompany the many different jean styles. Here are a few popular jean outfits that will be the perfect match. Boyfriend Fit Boyfriend jeans are relaxed, loose, cropped fit. When heading to a fall game, pairing some boyfriend jeans with a staple Chippewa t-shirt. Tennis shoes are a great shoe to pair with this fit. Boyfriend fit jeans are also nice for class since they’re one of the more comfortable jean options. Pairing these jeans with any form-fitted, long sleeve shirt and high top tennis shoes will have you looking comfy and composed. High-Waisted High-waisted jeans are always a nice, sleek option. These pants are the perfect match for a crop top when trying to avoid showing too much tummy. They’re also perfect for a night out with a cropped shirt to meet them half way and some sleek black heels. These jeans are also a good pick when heading to class or work. A pair of high-waisted jeans with a tucked in blouse and booties is the perfect professional and classy look. Bootcut Bootcut jeans are the jeans that never fail to go out of style – they’re the perfect mix between flare and skinnies. Bootcut jeans go well with a t-shirt and tennis shoes for a casual, everyday look. Bootcut jeans can also look great when matched with a solid tank and a cardigan or jacket and a pair of sleek heels. Dark Skinny Dark skinny jeans are probably the most common jeans found around Mount Pleasant. Dark jeans are easy since they can be paired with just about anything. We think dark jeans are typically paired best with a long, classic black blouse and black booties for social events. When heading to class or a sporting event, skinny jeans look great with a hoodie, t-shirt, or even a jersey and combat boots.
