December 10, 2018 Drinks, Drinks, Food, Food & Wellness New Nutrition Club Hopes to Bring Positivity to Mount Pleasant Story and photos by Cassie Wright Walking through the doors of Mount Pleasant Nutrition, you’ll find the counter filled with the happy faces of community members and students drinking healthy protein shakes and teas. The menu for Mount Pleasant Nutrition consists of a variety of tasty options that are based off of Herbalife products. These shakes and teas can be used as a healthy meal replacement. Mount Pleasant Nutrition employee, Olivia Ricketts, makes an Herbalife shake for a customer on Nov. 9. “When people ask me what I’m trying to create here, I want people to come in and feel like they are at home,” said Mount Pleasant Nutrition owner and Herbalife coach Chelsea Gettings. Inside of Mount Pleasant Nutrition there are words of encouragement and motivation lining the walls and multiple seating areas. The feeling of the building is crisp and minimalist. As for the staff, they really want to build a great relationship and get to know their customers. “A lot of us behind the bar really take it upon ourselves to remember the details about each person and really build that relationship,” Gettings said. Mount Pleasant Nutrition caters to all ages by offering smaller protein portions in shakes for kids. This nutrition club is inviting and inclusive to the entire community. Mount Pleasant Nutrition’s hours are Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s located on 1639 E. Broomfield Street.
