April 4, 2016 Drinks, Drinks, Food & Beverage, Recipes The Monday Mix: Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri On a warm day, ice cream, slushies, smoothies or really anything cold, sounds delicious. And, for those who have a lengthy to-do list on warm days that they would rather be soaking up some sun, a frozen mixed drink is not only desired, but required. Students, you know what we’re talking about. The semester is coming to an end, making for long, busy days of studying and finishing group projects. Now that the weather is in transition, unfortunately not as quickly as many would like, however, a cool sip is the refreshment we all need. Once it hits 5 o’clock or hey, even before (we don’t judge) replace your coffee for a refreshing frozen Strawberry Daiquiri. Ingredients: 1 ounce light rum 1 ounce lime juice 1/2 ounce triple sec 1 cup frozen strawberries 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 cup of ice Recipe: In a blender combine the light rum, lime juice and triple sec. Add in the sugar and it let dissolve in the mix. Then, add in the cup of ice and frozen strawberries. Blend until mixture is smooth and pour into a chilled glass. Enjoy!
