August 31, 2017 Archives, Student Styles, Style Fire Up for Tailgate Style Story by Hailee Kaske (Feature photo via @duostudiodesigns) It’s game day, Chips! If we’re being honest our favorite part may not be the actual game, but showing off our CMU spirit – in the most stylish way, of course. Here’s some major trends that can be used to support our school and stay looking fresh. Bodysuit Pair a maroon or gold bodysuit with jean shorts or a cheer skirt to this season’s football games. Their versatility lets you wear them to every occasion, and you’ll be sure to stand out in the crowd. Overalls Calling all 90’s babies, overalls are back! There are a variety of overalls, including shorts, skirts and long pants. Pair any with a cropped CMU shirt and you’ll be ready to cheer on the team. Distressed Tees If you’re on a budget, distressed t-shirts can be a fun alternative to pricey Yeezy knockoffs. Resale shops like Salvation Army and Goodwill have CMU spirit wear for cheap, and from there, t-shirts can be cut, ripped, bleached and distressed. This gives you an edgy look and can spice up your tailgate outfit. Fanny Packs Finally – stop worrying about carrying around purses to hold your items during tailgates and football games and opt for a fanny pack. You’ll be surprised how useful (and cute) they can be.
