November 30, 2015 Drinks, Drinks, Recipes The Monday Mix: Irish Coffee After withstanding the first big Michigan snowfall with many more nearing, it’s safe to confirm that a hot coffee is acceptable at all hours of the day. And, believe it or not, your coffee can even be mixed with whiskey. With the sight of winter right outside our window, the need for a wake-up drink or just a warm sip before a weekend night out becomes necessary. So, the next time you need some motivation to get out of bed and get Friday-night ready, make yourself an Irish Coffee. Ingredients: 2 ounces of Baileys Irish cream 4-6 ounces of hot coffee 1 ounce of Irish Whiskey Whipped Cream (optional) Recipe: First, pour yourself a cup of hot coffee. Then, mix in the Baileys and Irish whiskey into a mug. If desired, top off your drink with a dollop of whipped cream and enjoy.
