March 7, 2016 Drinks, Drinks, Food & Beverage, Recipes The Monday Mix: Long Island Iced Tea Cue the DJ and bring on the strong drinks. We made it past midterms, and even if you didn’t technically pass them all, it’s officially Spring Break. The beaches and palm trees await you, so first things first– you need a drink. Not just any drink, a Long Island Iced Tea kind of drink. This concoction has a little bit of everything (we weren’t kidding when we said you need this) and you need it now. Mix it up or order a round, you won’t be sorry. Ingredients: ½ ounce of vodka ½ ounce of rum ½ ounce of gin ½ ounce of tequila ½ ounce of triple sec 1-ounce of sweet and sour mix 1 splash of Coca-Cola 1 lemon slice (optional garnish) Ice Recipe: Start with filling a cocktail shaker with ice. Then, pour in the vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec and sour mix and shake. Pour the mixture into a 16-ounce glass filled with ice and top off with a splash of Coca-Cola. Garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy!
