May 3, 2016 Drinks, Food, Food & Beverage, Recipes This Overnight Oatmeal is Perfect for Exam Week Be honest – do you ever miss breakfast? It’s the most important meal of the day, yet we all somehow skip over it. Especially with only a few more days left in the semester, breakfast is becoming missed even more. We are rushing, cramming and forgetting to eat an energy-fueled meal (after all, it is final exam week). But since it’s vital you keep your energy and focus this week, we have a helpful suggestion for you, and it’s called overnight oatmeal. Prepare this meal the night before, and enjoy it on the go the next morning. Overnight Oatmeal Ingredients: 1/2 cup oats 1/2 cup milk, of choice 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt 2 teaspoons honey 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Toppings: Any fruit, nut or seed of your choice (i.e. Blueberries, Chia seeds, walnuts, etc.) Recipe: Combine the oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey and cinnamon in a jar. With a lid, cover the jar and shake until all the ingredients are mixed together. Remove the lid and add in your toppings. Then, re-cover the jar with the lid. Refrigerate the oatmeal overnight for about 8 hours. Enjoy in the morning!
