Top 5 boots to wear this winter

The weather is cooling down and the winter season is upon us.

The only way to keep your feet warm during the cold winter months is to shove them in a pair of boots. There are five styles of boots you should have in your closet, so you can be warm and look cute at the same time.

1) The riding boot

Pinterest named this style “the sleekest, most elegant of winter boots.” They’re cute, comfortable and they are guaranteed to keep your feet dry. Pinterest recommends that you wear these with a cropped coat to make your legs look longer than they actually are.

2) The all-weather boot

This style is perfect to wear when there’s a lot of snow or ice on the ground. The heavy soles will help you keep your balance as you trek across campus. Pinterest recommends that you wear these boots with a fitted wool coat to balance out the bulky style of the boots.

3) The hiking boot

These boots come in two styles, the regular hiking boot, which is a favorite among outdoors women or you can get them with a heel. The heel classifies the outdoorsy people from the city people. Whether you decide to go with the heel or without it, these boots will keep you sturdy while walking through the snow.

4) The moto boot

These boots are perfect for later November, early December. They’re cute and casual. Pinterest recommends that you leave the top laces undone and fold the top of the boot down or wear them fully laced, with a thick pair of socks or legwarmers sticking out.

5) The statement boot

These boots are perfect for those go-getter fashionistas who like to make a statement. The front is classy and professional while the back sports some sort of pattern or design. Go for a pair of statement boots without a heel on them for the winter months. These heels aren’t going to protect you from the ice like the hiking boots will.
