Online shopping is a great way for students to stock up on fabulous finds without leaving their rooms, though sometimes it can be hard to discover new online stores that have affordable clothing. Grand Central supplies you with a list of online stores that are perfect for fashionistas on a college budget. ASOS: If you’re looking for runway-inspired clothing at a reasonable price, ASOS is the perfect place for men and women. This store has something tailored for all body types including petite, plus, maternity and tall. If you’re unsure of how an item looks, you can view a runway video of the garment to see it at all angles. Its inventory consists of more than just clothing. Jewelry, bags, shoes, sunglasses, swimsuits, lingerie and home goods are also available. You can find plenty for under $30 in their sales section. Go Jane: If you have more of an eclectic style, check out this online shop. Fun, unique clothing is what you’ll find here. This store is perfect for finding clothes for a girl’s night out and will have you turning heads. It also has a large shoe selection that consists of fun boots, booties, heels, sneakers, flats, wedges and sandals. Francesca’s: This boutique offers cute, feminine clothing and bold accessories to give you the perfect look. Since it is a boutique, it carries limited amounts of each item. This method helps make your product feel truly special because it is limited to consumers. The store always has good sales going on throughout the year. Otherwise, prices usually range from $20-60. High Gloss: High Gloss consists of urban and edgy fashion, similar to Nasty Gal. Items can be a bit pricey, but the sale section is fully loaded with accessories, shoes and clothing. You can find items for as low as $5, not to mention there is a ‘deal of the day’ where you can get items for more than half off. Lily Boutique: This boutique is adorable and consists of vintage-inspired clothing. If you like lace, floral, girly, or pastel garments, Lily Boutique is tailored for you. It also specializes in a variety of beautiful A-line dresses that are perfect for a sorority formal or a date night. Prices are under $50. BagHaus: This store is primarily for designer-inspired bags and accessories for women and men. The types of bags for women consist of clutches, wallets, messengers, luggage, laptop carriers and backpacks. For men, the store has backpacks, messengers, laptop carriers, camera bags, luggage and wallets. This is a nice place to shop when looking for something fashionable to carry your books around campus. UrbanOG: As described in the name, UrbanOG is for women with an urban edge and hipster style. It carries a lot of skinny jeans, combat boots, plaid shirts and printed leggings for casual wear. The website also has vibrant and printed body-con dresses for going out. UrbanOG has a large assortment of shoes for cheap prices. Prices are usually under $50. Fashion to Figure: This store is similar to Deb but has more variety. It specializes in sizes 12-26 and has various styles ranging from bold prints to vibrant solids. FTF has a team of highly trained stylists to match customers’ body types to a perfect style, leaving them feeling confident and chic. Jewelry, handbags, belts and scarves are also sold here. You can either shop by category, trend or occasion (girls night out, date night, work chic). Mod Cloth: Mod Cloth is a great place to find pin-up and vintage-inspired dresses. For customers who like long dresses, modest colors, collared shirts, pointed heels and combat booties, this is the place for you. They also have a plus size section filled with items. If you are really into vintage, Mod Cloth also sells home décor. LuLu’s: This online shop is for the very modern and chic customer who likes to stand out. LuLu’s has a lot of dresses, but it also sell shoes, tops, bottoms, accessories and jewelry. Items here can exceed $60, but the sales section is full of products that are half off, under $25, and even under $15. Pink Ice: If you’re a fashionista of many styles, Pink Ice has plenty of different styles to keep you happy. From gypsy-inspired clothing and rock’n’roll grunge style to a peaceful, bohemian look, there is something for everyone at Pink Ice. The clothing is typically under $50. It also has a large assortment of accessories and shoes. Make Me Chic: The clothing sold at Make Me Chic is edgy and grunge-inspired. This store is for customers who like their clothing to rock. There are a lot of dark colored items with studs and ripped jeans. The store sells tasteful footwear for customers who want theirs to stand out. Shoes are as low as $3. Studio 12-20: If you have a boho-hippie inspired style, you should check out Studio 12-20. The store specializes in long cardigans, cute crop tops, bright printed tanks, long tye-dye skirts, floppy hats and jewelry with beautiful gems. The price range is sporadic, with prices as high as $70 but as low as $10. Zoo Shoo: Zoo Shoo is for customers who want designer-inspired shoes for a low price. It carries a small selection of accessories and clothing that could be compared to Forever 21. No matter how much or how little you spend here, shipping is always free.
