A variety of students on CMU’s campus discussed their dating app usage.

Dating apps have become more popular throughout the last several years. Most students use dating apps such as Tinder, Bumble and Hinge. Although there are a variety of other apps, these students shared interests in these particular apps.

The apps allow for immediate connection through social media. Profiles are created, and messages are sent. However, there is one slight difference between the apps.

Tinder allows both male and females to message one another; while Bumble only allows females to message the male.

A few of the students use dating apps in order to meet new people and new connections, while others seek love and a companion.

After all, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
