April 19, 2018 Campus Life, Community, Events, Lifestyle, Students, Students Recap: SAPA Solidarity Photos by Aubry Healy The Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates (SAPA) held their Solidarity event in the Bovee University Center Rotunda Wednesday evening. The event was split into two parts. During the first half, performers entertained guests while they ate and socialized. The entertainers varied from guest performers to students and student groups. A Capella groups, Central Harmony and On The Rox, performed. SAPA’s own Spring Lake junior Emma Leech closed out the round of performers with two acoustic songs. The second part of the event was a confidential space for survivors and supporters to talk to SAPAs as well as others who were willing to share and listen. Due to the nature of the event, no photography or videography was allowed. Participants were allowed to leave as they chose, talk to SAPA members one-on-one or stay to support others. The event occurs once a semester.
