September 24, 2018 Beauty, Style & Beauty, Women's Style CMU Student’s Favorite Lipsticks For Fall Story and photos by Rachel Bednarz Your favorite lipstick is often a signature part of your look. A good product can boost your confidence and brighten your day. Six Central Michigan University students talk about why they love their favorite lipsticks. Freshman Mariah Gondek’s favorite lip stick is Jeffree Star Cosmetic’s Velour Liquid Lipstick in “Cherry Wet”.”I’m always looking for a good red lipstick,” Gondek said. According to her, this one takes the cake when it comes to colors, and it’s long lasting. This quality matte lipstick is available for purchase on the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website for $18. Freshman Courtney Rosolowski’s number one lip product is “Sweet Peach” (Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss) by Too Faced. Rosolowski’s mom introduced her to this product. She likes it because it smells good. “Not only is it a cute lip gloss, it also moisturizes my lips,” Rosolowski said. This gloss can be purchased at Ulta, Sephora or the Too Faced website for $19. Freshman Celia Migliaccio says her favorite lipstick is Kylie Cosmetic’s Matte Liquid Lipstick in “Leo”. Celia likes this product because she has always been a fan of dark colors, and it never goes on blotchy or uneven. “It feels soft where most of the matte liquid lipsticks I’ve tried are dry and heavy,” Migliaccio said. The lipstick can be purchased by itself for $17 or in a lip kit for $29 on the Kylie Cosmetics website. Junior Casey Wright’s go to lipstick is Milani Liquid Matte Lipstick in “Stunning”. “I love this product because it lasts through everything except greasy food and the color matches my skin tone well,” Wright said. She also likes it because she can wear it anywhere classy or casual. Wright mentioned that the product is really affordable for the quality you get. You can find this product on the shelves of your local Target, Ulta, or Walmart for about $8. Freshman Sarah Sweet says her favorite lipstick is Wet and Wild’s Megalast Liquid Catsuit in “Rebel Rose”. She liked this product because it makes her feel pretty. “This is my go to product because it applies well and lasts long,” Sweet said. You can find this product at Ulta, Target, Walmart, or the Wet and Wild website for about $4. Freshman Savannah La Tarte’s personal favorite is Maybelline’s Vivid Matte Liquid in “Grey Envy”. La Tarte likes this product because the color stays all day from when you first apply it, to when you take it off. “It’s pretty cheap, so anyone could get it,” she said. She also enjoys the quality of the matte look when it dries. This lipstick can be bought at Walmart, Target, or your local drugstore for around $5.
