October 7, 2019 Beauty, Style & Beauty, Trend and Beauty Fall Makeup Essentials Story and photos by Riley Connell The leaves are falling upon the sidewalks of campus. This doesn’t just mean an over-abundance of pumpkin flavored treats; it also means it’s time for fall makeup looks. Junior Lauren Kramer has been waiting all summer to break out the best of the best for her everyday fall face. One essential for fall is a sleek cat-eye eyeliner look. Kramer’s go-to eyeliner pencil is the Kat Von D tattoo liner. “I like the Kat Von D tattoo liner because it’s a brush tip, so it doesn’t fray at the ends when you use it,” Kramer said. Kramer’s next staple item is a dark lipstick to celebrate the Halloween-centered season. The lipstick she wears most is the NYX Suede liquid lipstick in the color “Club Hopper.” She was drawn to the dark purple color because it isn’t something she would find herself wearing in any other season. “I was trying to get myself out of my comfort zone,” Kramer said. Finally, to top off her look, Kramer adds a shocking purple highlighter to add some flair. She uses Anastasia Beverly Hills “spectra” from the Aurora highlighter palette. “I got it at T.J. Maxx for a good price, and it’s always fun for a subtle pop of color,” Kramer said. Whether you’re celebrating the “spooky season” or are planning a day trip to the closest cider mill, these are fall must-haves for your next shopping list.
