The Monday Mix: Wine Slushies

Wine is a common drink to match with dinner (or any meal, really).

Red or white, wine makes a meal all the more savory for many. Just ask my mom, Chardonnay makes everything better!

But, something my mom doesn’t know is a wine slushy can make a spring day even more enjoyable.

A wine slushy brings some liveliness to your everyday glass, and may just be the treat you need to get you through today and the rest of the semester.

Summer is just around the corner, so take a break from stressing out over your laundry list of to-do’s and instead, relax with a wine slushy.

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces of your preferred choice of wine
  • Ice cube tray
  • Blender

Recipe:

  1. Begin by pouring the wine in ice cube trays. Then, place the tray in the freezer until frozen and firm.
  2. Next, take the wine cubes out of the tray and place in a blender. Pulse the wine cubes a few times until they are crushed into a slushy-like consistency.
  3. Pour into a glass. Enjoy!
